Dear Family and Friends,Merry Christmas from the newly-minted Mr. and Mrs. Bond! This is our very first Christmas card as husband and wife, and if you’ve scanned this QR code you’ll see why we needed a little extra space. 2025 basically turned us into professional world travelers with ring-shaped tan lines. The year started with the best kind of chaos: bachelor and bachelorette parties (Andrew in Miami, me in Playa del Carmen), followed closely by the main event in March. We laughed, we cried, we danced until our feet hurt, and yes, my mom did channel her inner Cinderella by accidentally leaving one shoe at the hotel. Aunt Maritza and Uncle Mike swooped in like fairy godparents with the missing glass slipper (well, chrome pump), and the day was saved! Then we ran away together for two straight months in Argentina: Wine in Mendoza, fly-fishing and roadside apple picking in Bariloche, dove hunting in Córdoba (Andrew’s wedding gift to me!), and getting soaked by the waterfalls at Iguazu Falls. We came home just long enough to close on a trucking business, squeeze in a Gulf fishing trip, and hop another flight to South Africa for our dear friends’ wedding. The morning after their big day we left to go on safari near Pilanesberg National Park (my gift to Andrew). Seeing all the African game (all but the big cats) is something that will stay with us forever. After all that travel, can you blame us for wanting a quiet Summer at home? Luckily, we did get to escape the Dallas heat in upstate New York with friends; lake swims, s’mores, plenty of laughs around the bonfire, and zero alarm clocks. August brought us to Austin for my grandfather, Pepo’s, beautiful memorial, and September took us to Miami to celebrate the life of Andrew’s Great-Aunt Barbara. While we were there Andrew finally got to show me his old stomping grounds: bike rides on the South Beach boardwalk, stone crab at Joe’s, and delicious clams at the Fish Shack in Lighthouse Point.October wrapped up our travel for the year with a perfect fall weekend at the Turkey Track with perfect fall weather, great hunting, and helping David with the deer survey (this was way more fun than it sounds).
Honestly, I’m tired just typing this, but I’ve never been happier. Marrying the love of my life and getting to see the world with him has been the greatest adventure yet.Andrew here—hi, everyone! She left out the part where she became the first woman to shoot over 1000 doves in a day at the estancia we were staying at in Córdoba, so clearly I made the right choice in a wife. I’m a lucky man!As this wild, wonderful year comes to a close, we’re savoring quiet evenings at home, hosting Thanksgiving with family, putting up Christmas lights, and the joy of making our own traditions as husband and wife. We don’t know everything 2026 holds, but we know we’ll face it side by side—and that’s more than enough.Lord, we have had such a blessed year full of travel and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. We look forward to whatever the future holds and ask You to please keep guiding us to walk closely with You. In Your holy name we pray, Amen.
All our love (and a whole lot of gratitude), Cat & Andrew, Christmas 2025P.S. If you made it this far, thank you for being part of our story. We can’t wait to make more memories with you in the year ahead.
